2016 Prayer Prospective
Prayer Partners Ministry held a 24 hour prayer and fast which started December 30, 2015 at 6:00 AM and ended December 31, 2015 at 6:00 AM. The purpose of the fast was to seek the face of God for direction for us as Prayer Partners and for direction for the ministry. The Lord revealed the following to us for 2016:
- Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust in the Lord to meet all of your needs, to answer your
prayers and to direct you. - Romans 12:2. Renew and transform your mind, change the way you think. Instead of doubt, speak faith so that God can bring clarity as you wait on Him for direction.
- Persevere in prayer. 1 Kings 18:41-45.
- Don’t give up on your vision.
Elijah prayed for rain to return on the earth after it had not rained on the earth for 3 years and 6 months (James 5:17) because of the idolatrous and wayward life of Israel. Elijah sent his servant seven times to look for rain and six times his servant came and said there was no rain. Elijah continued in pray, his faith did not waiver he sent his servant the seventh time and his servant reported he saw a cloud.
The seven times could have been seven years but Elijah was steadfast and immoveable in his faith he believed his God. In verse 41, Elijah declared rain before he started to pray. He said, I hear the abundance of rain. God wants us to believe Him in 2016 not to look at our circumstances but to continue to persevere in prayer until the answer comes. In 2016 see the answer before you start to pray.
1 Thess. 5: 1-28 with emphasis on verse 16. The Lord wants us to rejoice in 2016! Continue earnestly in prayer with thanksgiving and rejoice in the Lord. Be watchmen on the wall.
